A plastic extrusion manufacturer in Turkey required a stable coiling solution for continuous production of flexible plastic pipes and profiles. The customer focused on maintaining consistent coiling tension during long production runs while minimizing downtime during coil changeover.
To address these requirements, a dual station torque coiler was integrated into the downstream section of the extrusion line. The equipment provides independent torque control for each station, allowing smooth switching between coils without interrupting production.
During commissioning, torque parameters and station transition timing were adjusted to match the extrusion speed and material characteristics. Coordination between the haul-off unit and the coiler ensured steady pipe feeding and uniform coil formation.
After being put into regular operation, the dual station torque coiler delivered stable performance under daily production conditions. The customer observed improved coiling efficiency, consistent coil quality, and reduced manual handling compared with previous solutions.
This project reflects a practical application of a dual station torque coiler in plastic extrusion lines, offering a balanced solution for controlled coiling and continuous downstream operation while maintaining customer confidentiality.
